Prakarsa Compendium - The Legacy
Findings and Learning from AIIRA

To demonstrate the importance of quality research in effectively informing infrastructure policy development, IndII designed the Australia-Indonesia Infrastructure Research Awards (AIIRA) program - and subsequently refined it following feedback from Government of Indonesia agencies and research sector experts in Indonesia and Australia.

This publication includes summaries of a selection of the AIIRA research outcomes. Given the breadth of topics in which research was completed, these summary reports focus only on water and sanitation issues, and their scope – ranging from water security to budget transparency in using public funds – indicates the diversity of issues that are currently being addressed in the water and sanitation sector in Indonesia.
